Last Sunday, the Las Vegas Raiders surprised many people with their performance against the San Francisco 49ers. The Raider lost 37-34 in overtime but had an outstanding performance. They will look to do it again on Saturday afternoon against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Balanced Offensive Attack

With the Raiders' defense struggling, the offense must run the ball to keep it out of Patrick Mahomes' hands. Josh Jacobs is banged up; hopefully, he can play. Jacobs leads the NFL with 1,608 yards. Jacobs plays because he would want that rushing title.

Running the ball well would help quarterback Jared Stidham out a lot; against the 49ers, he passed for 365 yards, three touchdowns, and two interceptions in his first start. Stidham did a great job running the offense and making plays with his legs. However, the quarterback will need to continue to use his legs to extend plays and run for first downs.

If the Raiders can run the ball, it will open up the play-action pass game. Stidham likes to give his playmakers a chance to make plays, and as a receiver or tight end, that's all you can ask for in a quarterback. So look for Davantae Adams to get a lot of targets.

Slow Down Travis Kelce

In their first meeting, the Raiders did a good job slowing down Kelce until the Chiefs got into the red zone. Kelce had seven catches for 25 yards but had four touchdowns in the red zone. Las Vegas must double-team Kelce and mix in other ways to slow him down. The tight end is Mahomes go-to receiver; the Raiders must have all eyes on him.

Keep Mahomes in the Pocket

Mahomes is dangerous when he can use his legs to extend plays; the Raiders must keep containing on the edges to keep him in the pocket. Edge rushers Maxx Crosby and Clelin Ferrell must keep contain and play under control when they rush Mahomes. Also, an inside pass rush will be critical; Andrew Billings, Jerry Tillery, and Bilal Nichols must step up and play well.

Score Touchdowns in the Red-Zone

When playing against the Chiefs, it is crucial not to settle for three in the red zone; you must punch it in the end zone. Kicking field goals could get you beat later on in the game. Therefore, it is essential the Raiders put up touchdowns.
